Internal Memory (RAM)



Restart device regularly

Note: You should restart your tablet at least once per day.

  • Press and hold the Power key.
  • Tap Restart.


Reduce memory use

Note: If your tablet is running slow, then you can reduce the amount of memory it is using.


•  Remove widgets (Animated widgets and widgets that update information use the most memory)


1.From the desired Home screen, touch and hold on the widget.

2.Drag the widget over the Trash can icon and release your finger.


•  Replace a Live wallpaper


1.From any Home screen, tap and hold a blank spot and then tap Set wallpaper.

2.Tap Home screen.

Note: Tap Home and lock screen if you set a Live wallpaper to the lock screen.

3.Tap either Gallery or Wallpapers.

4.Follow the prompts to set a new wallpaper that replaces the current Live wallpaper.


Manage applications

Note: Manage your applications to keep your device running smoothly.


Keep applications updated


1. From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon. 

2. Tap Play Store.

3. Tap the Menu key and then tap My Apps.

Note: To keep your apps automatically updated, tap the Menu key, tap Settings, and then tap Auto-update apps to select the check box.

  

Task manager


A task manager can view running apps and close them. To use the task manager, follow these steps:

 

1.From any Home screen, tap the up arrow at the bottom of the screen to open the Mini Apps toolbar.

2.Tap the Task Manager.

3.Choose from the following options:


Close active applications

  • To close active applications, tap the Active applications tab and then tap End next to the desired application.
  • Tap End all to close all active applications. 


Uninstall applications 

  • To uninstall applications, tap the expand arrow in the top-left. 
  • Tap the Downloaded tab and then tap Uninstall next to the desired application. 


Clear RAM 

  • To clear RAM, first save any necessary data. 
  • Tap the RAM manager tab and then tap Clear memory. 


View available memory

  • To view your memory card and internal memory's available storage, tap the expand arrow in the top-left. 
  • Tap the Storage tab.

  • Tap the expand arrow in the top-left. 
  • Tap the Help tab to read about the RAM manager and how to extend battery life. 

 

 

View free memory


To view the amount of free internal memory, follow these steps:

 

1.From any Home screen, tap the Apps icon.

2.Tap Settings.

3.Tap Application manager.

4.Swipe left to the RUNNING screen.

5.View the used value at bottom-left.
